Description

The loss of a special pet is a difficult time and leaves a hole in your heart and life.  The I Lost a Friend poem (author unknown) describes that loss and the knowledge that our special friends will be in a better place.

The poem reads:

I lost a special friend today
    the kind you can't replace,

and looking at her empty bed
I still can see her beautiful face.

I know she's in a special place
our Lord has for such friends,

    Where meadows, fields & flowers
help make them strong and whole again.

I know she's watching over me
She'll be with me when I cry,
So with one more kiss on her beloved head

    I told my friend goodbye.

The poem is engraved on a Basswood plaque that measures approximately 7 x 9 1/2 inches and comes in one of several rectangle variations.  Because this is natural wood, each piece will have unique grain and characteristics.  It can be fitted for hanging or set on a table in a stand.

The plaque is shown with a dog silhouette, but can be changed to a cat or other images, depending on your special pet.
